Michigan State Police have started a statewide crackdown that will focus on busting drivers who are driving distracted.

'Operation Ghostrider' involves a police officer rides in the passenger seat of an unmarked car and looks for distracted drivers. Once spotted the officer will signal to another officer ahead who will then pull over the driver.

Drivers busted for distracted driving can face fines up to $150.
