Students at Madison Academy in Flint got the day off Friday after a scary incident where a stray bullet shattered a window on a school bus full of students.

Multiple sources reported the bus window being shot out Thursday afternoon.  Approximately 30 students were on board the bus when the bullet rocketed through the window.  The bus was driving on Dort near Cherokee when it was struck, but luckily nobody was physically injured by the gunshot.

Police are still trying to figure out more details about why this happened.  They are unsure if the bus was the intended target, or if it was indeed a stray bullet.  They are also trying to find the person responsible for the shooting.

Officials at Madison Academy decided it would be best to close schools today to let the kids recover mentally from the scary situation.  They posted the following Facebook message to parents.
