The Flint Police Department is asking for the public's help in a recent string of robberies of the city's west side.

According to a news release, there have been eight to ten B&E's since September 9th. Witnesses report seeing two-to-three black males, driving a black Pontiac Grand Am, pulling into the driveway of residences, knocking on front doors, and if no one answers, forcing entry into homes through the rear doors and windows. Items such as flat screen TV's, laptops and other electronics, coins, money and jewelry have been taken.

During a recent traffic stop of a suspicious vehicle following following one of the B&E's, police recovered this bag of coins believed to have been taken in one of the robberies. Police are asking for the public's help in locating the owner.

If you were recently a victim to a B&E and this belongs to you, call Trooper Mercier at the Flint Police Department at (810) 237-6923 or Crime Stoppers at 800-422-JAIL.
