A 28-year-old Flint man has been charged with first-degree child abuse as his 4-month-old daughter remains in critical condition with a fractured skull, rib fracture and bruising.

According to WNEM, the incident happened over the weekend. Police were called to the house on Amos Drive in Flint. After investigating, police say that the girl’s father, Brian Guest, abused her.

Guest is currently in the Genesee County Jail where he is being held without bail. If convicted of the charges, Guest could spend the rest of his life in prison.
