The online video chat company is making it easier to connect with your family this Thanksgiving.

Ladies and gentlemen, we'd like to introduce you to Captain Obvious - we're in the height of a global pandemic, and the last thing that any of us should be doing is planning a big family gathering.

Maybe you're like us, and you don't live near family. My family lives 330 miles away in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and in the Chicago suburbs. Unfortunately, not seeing family for the holidays has become a common story in our family.

This year, though, we've all learned how to adapt to technology and connecting with each other. We'd already planned on "having Thanksgiving dinner" with my family...virtually. And Zoom is making it easier than ever this year.

As with any online service, Zoom offers a free version and several different paid versions. In the free version, you can get video calls up to 40 minutes. After that, you select your pay tier.

However, on Thanksgiving Day, Zoom is waving their 40-minute limit so that we can all connect with our loved ones.

For us here in the ET, the time starts at midnight on November 26 and will go until 6AM ET on November 27. So, you can eat and drink and be merry with your family while being safe at the same time.
