Why Progressives Love Sean Hannity

You need not look very far or try too hard in order to understand the basis of what seems a contradictory hypothesis. In fact, if you are a progressive, a liberal or a democrat, embracing Sean Hannity is the political and personal decision you should make in order to fully experience the American dream.

If one were to read comments regarding Mr. Hannity on some social media sites, the opinion garnered would lead to the conclusion of a deranged ideologue, ill-informed moron suffering from a delusionary view of the world and an unapologetic mouthpiece for the Republican Party. As these are the tasteful words used therein, the next question to follow this description has become “How on earth did a clown like him get a radio and television program?” In spite of the immense volume of invective leveled in his direction, Sean has persevered and proven his ideals to be favored even by his detractors.

Examining the love-hate relationship reveals the deep-rooted emotional argument of those who voice opposition to conservative views of politics and social subjects. Each time a debate occurs, the conversation is rapidly shifted by his opponent from the substance of the issue to a passionate plea for Sean to examine his humanity or lack thereof, and change his view to accommodate the feelings of others. For example, if he were to express a desire for lower income tax rates on all who earn income, his antagonist would insist he is only concerned with those at the high end of the scale and is oblivious to the plight of low wage earners. They would demand by force of government a mandate so the rich pay more. Not that it necessarily serves any productive purpose but more as a penalty for being successful. However vigorous the argument, Sean does not lose his focus and redirects his challenger back to the topic of discussion.  What is most interesting and simultaneously ironic, is these same individuals that plead for income equality and wealth redistribution, do what they can to maximize income and lower their own tax liability.

But matters of money and wealth are not the only areas of disagreement between the progressive left and Mr. Hannity. The size and scope of government, private versus public education, environmental regulations or health care are but a few of the topics which elicit strong views and commentary by most citizens. While too numerous to categorically list, suffice it to say the difference of opinion between the left and right in most matters is akin to a mixture of water and oil. The opinions of Sean Hannity are readily available to the public via books he’s written, public appearances, and daily on radio and television. One would have to with purpose, ignore his pronouncements or convey them to others in a manner designed to portray him in a negative light. Even so, and with the abundance of contrary evidence, his political nemesis, without hesitation, continue to make false claims on his behalf.

With so much animosity and such a disparate world view between the left and right, why do progressives love Mr. Hannity so dearly? The explanation is quite simple. Through his common sense approach when explaining the meaning of political conservatism, by his unflappable belief in the guarantees espoused in the founding documents of America, he has gained the trust and respect of friend and foe alike. Even the most vocal critics will admit that Sean Hannity has reached the pinnacle of his chosen profession, and has done so with humility, honesty and with a practice what you preach lifestyle that proved what many said was impractical or even impossible.

It is always best to investigate, inquire and experience for oneself and not blindly agree for the sake of agreement just to be included in the popular group. Therefore, take an honest assessment of your ideals and expected outcomes, compare that result with that same level of scrutiny of the principles advocated by Sean Hannity then, decide which path is best for you, your family and for the country. Tune out the noise of those who refuse to think for themselves or deny reality even when the truth is undisputed. After sincere self-examination and quiet reflection, you will join the innumerable enlightened citizens who are now living happily and fulfilled, never again to languish in the melancholy shadows of liberalism. You now may cuddle with freedom. You will enjoy the Hannitization!
