Thursday night - Angel's Night - was a success in Flint according to Flint police with only two arsons reported. ABC 12 says Captain Collin Birnie says fires and other issues on Angel's Night have steadily decreased the past few years and Thursday's numbers show the trend continuing. One of the fires was in a vacant home on Tobias near Saginaw and the other was in the vacant American Mobile Home Park. Among the thins that Birnie said helped was a helicopter from the Department of Homeland Security which monitored the city through midnight and the abundance of volunteers that patrolled Flint streets.
