Tornado Touches Down in Shiawassee County [VIDEO]

A tornado that touched down in Genesee and Shiawassee Counties Thursday (3/14) night is said to have caused damage to more than 50 structures.

Shiawassee County resident Jim Barrett shared the video below of the tornado touching down near his home.

Damage has been reported in Shiawassee County's Vernon Township as well as Clayton Township, Flushing, Flint Township and Genesee Township in Genesee County.

In the second video below, Shiawassee County Sheriff Brian BeGole tells WXYZ that several people were safe after leaving the Great Lakes Fusion Machine Shop just minutes before the tornado hit the building.

No deaths or serious injuries have been reported.
