This Little Boy Gave His Baby Yoda to West Coast Firefighters
Well if that isn't the freaking cutest thing we've EVER seen!
First, let's get the bad news out of the way - the wildfires on the west coast are still raging from California to Washington. 35 people have been confirmed to be dead; in the tiny town of Berry Creek, CA, the fire moved through so fast that 14 people died and 7 are still missing.
The smoke is creating a serious hazard, too. California Governor Gavin Newsom compared it on CBS News to smoking 400 cigarettes per day. The wind and heat are definitely not helping at the moment - firefighters have said that the fires could be burning until November.
And, in Michigan, we are not immune to the fallout of these wildfires - the smoke has traveled more than 2,500 miles to the mitten state, where it is affecting our air quality.
I'm not going to pretend that there's a bright spot in any of this, but kindness can go a long way, and this is a wonderful example of it.
Facebook user Tyler Lessard Eubanks posted on his Facebook page that a 5-year-old boy named Carver donated his Baby Yoda plush toy to firefighters, "in case you get lonely." And now, that Baby Yoda plush is making its way to different "camps" to cheer up the brave men and women who are fighting these fires.
It's so poignant when you see their ash-covered, exhausted faces SMILING because a little boy was selfless enough to bring them his Baby Yoda plush. There is SO MUCH GOOD in the world. The Mandalorian
