The non-profit organization was started in 2016 by Bear Hall, a Milford resident.

Bear has two grown children with special needs - Liz and Shelby, both in their late 20s. Needless to say, he's aware of how hard it is to find employment for cognitively impaired adults. So he started a business plan and launched Mi Way Gourmet Popcorn, Mi Events Party Rental, Mi Shred Paper Shredding, Mi Sparks Firewood Sales and Deliver, Mi Vinyl Decorating and Mi Expressions Pallet Art and Candles.

They needed a bigger location and just opened their location in downtown Milford. They currently have eight employees and, by the end of the year, plan to grow to 20.

The store is handicap-accessible and located at 317 Union Street in Milford. They're open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Big props to Bear for seeing a need for something and making it happen!
