SNL Preview: Emily Blunt Played Both ‘The Girl’ AND ‘The Train’
For the third week in a row, SNL is letting a newbie take the reigns. Following a Margot Robbie premiere and last week’s ten-dollar founding father Lin-Manuel Miranda, The Girl on the Train star Emily Blunt is making her SNL hosting debut, grabbing a slice with Beck Bennett in the first promos.
SNL released its third round of promos for Season 42, featuring Blunt and Beck Bennett out for some of New York’s finest prop pizza. Along the way, Blunt drops a surprising revelation about her motion-capture work for The Girl on the Train, while Bennett reveals … an unfortunate past of his own, for getting too friendly with the pizza parlor.
Blunt will make her hosting debut with musical guest Bruno Mars, who previously appeared in 2014, and acted as both host and musical guest in 2012. Next week will see Tom Hanks and Lady Gaga both making their SNL returns, though no further Season 42 hosts (including October 29) have yet been announced.
You can watch Blunt’s promos above, check out some of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s work this weekend, and stay tuned for the latest SNL.
