Self-Driving GM Vehicles Are Coming
GM has announced that they expect to have self-driving vehicles in large cities sometime in 2019. Self-driving cars are already being tested by GM's Cruise Automation Unit. They are testing Chevy Bolt's in San Francisco with human backup drivers. If a car can navigate San Francisco roads by itself, then I feel like it would be safe to ride in here in Flint. You may also see the self-driving cars being tested in Detroit or Phoenix. When GM launches the cars commercially, they will no longer need a human backup driver. All those movies that predicted self-driving cars in the "future" (IE 2000) were only about 20 years late.
