Renovations at Atwood Stadium in Flint are almost complete.

According to ABC 12, a tractor is packing down and smoothing out the new turf at Atwood Stadium, part of $2 million upgrade by Kettering University, which took possession of the stadium from the city of Flint in 2013.

There is seating for 11,000 and concession stands have been upgraded and while the field was in too poor of shape to host football games last fall, the new improvements will not only allow football there in the fall, but other sports next spring.
