New Michigan Legislation Would Offer More Time For Paid Sick Leave
Michigan could soon be joining five other states that have passed new legislation allowing employees to receive more paid sick leave hours.
The new law would offer one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked.
Currently 44% of Michigan workers cant afford to take time off of work due to being sick. This new legislation would allow people who are sick or have sick family members to stay home. Obviously staying at home also means not getting other employees sick.
If passed Michigan will join Connecticut, California, Massachusetts, Oregon, and Vermont that have passed the same law.
