New Bill Proposes Online Activity Part Of Gun Background Check

Despite America becoming a 15 minute attention span country, the debate continues concerning gun safety.  It seems any rational person would want mandatory, across the board background checks in the existing form as well as the many other seemingly common-sensical requirements to try and insure only people with good intentions can get a gun.

According to an article on apnews.com, lawmakers in New York are presenting a bill that would make a persons' social media history part of the background check.  With the growing evidence in recent cases where mass shooters have expressed real information into their state of mind found in their online activity, perhaps this is one more way to stop potential culprits.  The idea is for investigators to identify threats of violence, terrorism and racial slurs.  As you might imagine, free speech watchdogs and gun control advocates has expressed concern about privacy and the turning over of logins and passwords, etc.  Get more details by clicking HERE.
