MSP Trooper Crash Shuts Down Part of I-75

Part of I-75 in northern Oakland County has been shut down after an accident involving a Michigan State Police trooper on a motorcycle.

According to WNEM, the crash involved the motorcycle and another vehicle happened early Friday morning in Springfield Township. Authorities told Detroit radio stations that the trooper was hit during a traffic stop and has been taken to the hospital. A number of police vehicles were in the area of Dixie Highway and I-75 and at a nearby rest stop.
