A judge has ruled the bond for a Flint City Councilman will remain the same. Eric Mays was back in court on Tuesday when Genesee County Circuit Court Judge Joseph Farah denied the special prosecutor's request asking that Mays' bond be doubled. Last month, Mays was sentenced to 72 days in jail after a conviction of impaired driving. He made bond less than 12 hours after the ruling came down. According to ABC 12, Mays said he believes the judge's decision was fair saying "I believe that if you look all across the state where there's an elected official or just your average citizen, I don't believe that no one has received a similar sentence of 72 days and $10,800. I'm glad to not be in jail and with a second look at what has happened in the lower court."
