UPDATE: Peppers was arraigned on Monday at Quincy District Court, where he pleaded "not guilty." His next court date is set for Tuesday, November 22. He maintains his innocence, telling police that the intoxicated woman injured herself after falling down the stairs and made her allegations because he "refused to have unprotected sex with her," according to the New York Post.

According to Jabrill,” authorities stated in the police report, “[the woman] kept acting erratically and refused to leave. According to Jabrill, [the woman] fell by herself on the stairs because she was intoxicated. He denied pushing her down the stairs and claimed that she was making those allegations to ruin his career.

Police also reported finding a bag containing white powder in his wallet, which they said he identified as cocaine.

As he exited the court on Monday, Peppers told reporters that he had evidence to prove the claims were false. He suggested that there is video evidence and additional material that would exonerate him.

Former Michigan Wolverine and current New England Patriots safety Jabrill Peppers was arrested in Braintree, Massachusetts, on charges including assault and battery and possession of cocaine. Police responded to a disturbance early Saturday morning and arrested him after an investigation. The victim received on-scene treatment, but details about their injuries are unclear.

Peppers, a team captain, was initially listed as questionable for a game against the Dolphins but was later ruled out. The Patriots released a statement acknowledging the incident and said they would not comment further. Peppers is scheduled for a court arraignment today (10/7).
