Who’s Hosting the MTV Video Music Awards This Year?
The MTV Video Music Awards, which air live on Sunday, will be missing an important part of the traditional award show experience: a host.
MTV, which had been mum on who would be MCing the evening, finally conceded that they hadn’t found a suitable and available personality, and that — bearing a surprise development — the VMAs would be going host-less. MTV sill has talent on tap for the show: Adele, Bruno Mars, Chris Brown, Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne and Pitbull are all schedule to appear.
Last year, Chelsea Handler hosted the VMAs and during the award show’s 27-year history, Arsenio Hall has hosted most, with four appearances. Chris Rock and Dennis Miller have also hosted multiple times.
