Healthy Michigan Explained in Two Minutes

Governor Rick Snyder is currently traveling around the state to get out his message about Healthy Michigan, which includes Medicaid expansion, and why he believes it is right for the state.

On Thursday, Snyder hosted a meeting with healthcare professionals at Genesys Health System in Grand Blanc. Snyder said "we have a positive opportunity to really help people, and help people in need, and that's what this is all about. That's what Healthy Michigan is about."

Snyder added that Healthy Michigan is important given the impact of the Affordable Care Act, the number of uninsured individuals in Michigan turning to the emergency room for treatment, the negative effects those people suffer, and the high cost that imposes on all Michiganders.
