Former Democratic Congressman Mark Schauer Announces Run for Governor

Former Democratic Congressman Mark Schauer of Battle Creek has announced he is running for Governor.

This morning, Schauer tweeted"I'm in! Today I am announcing my campaign for governor." The announcement comes after weeks of speculation and building support and getting endorsements from fellow Democrats who had thought about challenging Governor Rick Snyder.

Schauer is expected to speak to Macomb County Democrats this evening before heading to Mackinaw
