
Flint to Share in $1.5 Million Grants from EPA
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has announced Flint and Detroit will share $1.5 million in grants to help clean up polluted industrial sites.
According to WNEM, EPA Regional Director Susan Hedman was in Flint Thursday afternoon to announce two grants for Flint totaling $545,000. Hedman - who was joined by Congressman Dan Kildee and Dayne Walling - said $350,000 will replenish a brownfield loan and $195,000 will establish an environmental training program at Mott Community College.
