The Flint Institute of Arts is hosting an event called Art in the Life of the City. There will be many discussions on the importance of the arts in the community and beyond. The Flint Institute of Arts will have many panelists and they will explore the following themes:

  • How cultural art institutions help cities while also needing the support of the community.
  • Ways that non-traditional presentation of cultural art promotes a higher quality of urban life.
  • How creating cultural art promotes a more fulfilling life.
  • What are some key challenges that face those who promote the cultural arts in urban cities, like Flint and elsewhere.

This event will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m at the Flint Institute of Arts on 1120 E. Kearsley Street. Flint, MI. This event is free and open to the public.
