Eddie Money Diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer

The cancer started in his esophagus but has spread to other parts of his body.

The singer of Take Me Home Tonight has revealed that he went in for a routine check-up last year...and found out that had esophageal cancer.

The tumor is at the top of his stomach but has spread to his liver. He reveals his diagnosis during the September 12th episode of his AXS show Real Money, saying that he no longer wants to keep it a secret because it's "not honest."

He had to cancel tour dates in May because of heart valve surgery and was sick in July with pneumonia, neither of which were related to the cancer.

He stills plan on returning to tour this fall.
