A California congressman denies being the one who farted during a live TV interview last night. (11/18)

By the way, whenever something really classy needs to posted here on our website, I'm your guy. Obviously.

In the clip below, California Rep. Eric Swalwell appears to pause as the loud flatulence is heard.

In a Twitter exchange with Buzzfeed, Swalwell denies being the culprit and goes on to say that he didn't even hear it while he was speaking.

(Not sure about this, but it seems to me I heard somewhere that politicians lie occasionally.)

The incident occurred during an interview with Chris Matthews on MSNBC's Hardball. Later last night, Hardball claimed (tongue in cheek) that the sound was from a mug scraping across the desk in the studio, and oh yeah, here's a link to buy one of our noisy mugs...
