Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson has signed a seven-year extension worth $132 million according to ESPN.

The contract for "Megatron" has a guarantee of $60 million and makes him the highest paid player who is not a quarterback in the league. The deal also tops that of Arizona Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald who had signed a $120 million deal last season. Johnson's restructuring of the pay also frees up cap space for the Lions.

Johnson was the second overall pick in 2007 and was set to enter the last season of his rookie deal. He is now under contract through 2019.
