A body was recovered from the Flint River on Tuesday night. According to WNEM, the Flint Police and Fire Departments responded to a call from two fishermen who said the body appeared to be male and looked to be in the water for some time. The men called 911 and walked with the body as it floated down the river. The body later became lodged underneath the ice at the Balllenger Highway bridge. Firefighters and police then began recovery and just before 10 p.m. were able to pull it from the river. Flint Crime Scene Investigation arrived to the scene shortly before 11 p.m. to collect evidence and begin the investigation.
