Baker College of Flint will host a open house for its new Business Center on Saturday. The new Center takes up about 10,000 square feet of renovated space in the Undergraduate Studies Building. The Center will house the college's business programs and will also be where Baker College classes can partner with regional businesses for problem-solving collaboration. Construction on the Center began last spring and nearly 100 classes began using the renovated space in January.

Highlights of the new Business Center include: Classrooms with multiple interactive whiteboards that can store notes and presentations, classroom iPads are available to all students to interact with the instructor and other students, and whiteboards with webcams that will connect students with business leaders from all over. The classrooms will also have the availability to be quickly reconfigured in size and according to function with furniture that is fully mobile, configurable and lightweight.

At the open house, attendees will be able to tour the facility and learn how the educational technology and learning applications support Bakers' growing emphasis on active learning. Tours will include demonstrations of the video in the new boardroom, whiteboard-iPad interaction and accounting and other educational technology.

The open house will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Baker College of Flint is located at 1050 W. Bristol Rd. in Flint. For more information, go to www.baker.edu
