Weather Forces Delay in Trash Pickup for Flint

Due to the hazardous weather conditions, waste collection in Flint will not take place on Tuesday, January 7, 2014.

Republic Services of Flint has continued a suspension of its operations in Flint due to the extremely cold temperature and the negative effect it has on both the safety of crews and vehicles. Waste collection had also been suspended on Monday, January 6, 2014 due to hazardous road conditions caused by snow fall.

Residents whose normal collection day is Monday will not have their garbage collected this week; normal collection will resume on Monday, January 13, 2014. All other regularly scheduled waste collection in Flint will be delayed by one day.
