Union Labor Agreements with City of Flint Pass after Votes

Flint’s Emergency Manager Michael Brown announced today that labor agreements have been affirmed by a vote of the membership of the Flint Police Captains and Lieutenants Union, the Flint Police Sergeants Union, and the Flint Firefighters Union. AFSCME Local 1799 has a tenative agreement in place, but is waiting on a vote by the membership.

In a statement, Brown said “the administration is pleased with the spirit of cooperation shown by these units in helping to address the serious fiscal problems the City of Flint faces.”

Brown is set to present the Fiscal Year 2013 budget to the Flint City Council on Monday.
