Nearly 3,000 Still Without Power in Genesee County

Nearly 3,000 are still without power in Genesee County according to Consumers Energy. Storms that passed through the area Saturday night affected more than 12,000 customers.

Power lines also closed both stretches of I-75 near Dort Highway in Grand Blanc Township. Both re-opened Sunday evening, but crews are expected to shut down both again Monday night for additional maintenance. The Dort Highway exit ramp is also closed and should be re-opened Monday night.

The hardest hit areas from Saturday night's storms were in southern Genesee County with Fenton, Gaines and Linden being the hardest hit. There were also scattered outages in Grand Blanc, Flint, Swartz Creek, Clio, Davison and Flushing.
