A Genesee County jury has found a City of Mt. Morris couple guilty on all counts in the sexual assault of their infant daughter, according to Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton.

Daniel Hall, 26 (d.o.b. 5/28/86), and his wife, Alicia Hall, 27 (d.o.b. 6/03/85), were charged with and found guilty of first degree criminal sexual conduct with a person under age 13 and child sexually abusive activity. Daniel Hall was also charged with and convicted of distributing child sexually abusive material and communicating with another person over the internet to commit a crime.

Both face a minimum sentence of 25 years and up to life in prison on the charge of first degree criminal sexual conduct.

“This is as disturbing of a case as I’ve ever seen,” said Prosecutor David Leyton. “How any parent could do this to their own child is incomprehensible to me,” he said.

Authorities were first notified of the Halls’ activities by an anonymous couple from Birch Run who claimed that Daniel Hall had inquired of them on a swingers website whether they had a young daughter who they wanted to involve in child pornography. An undercover operation was implemented and the same request was made by Daniel Hall to an undercover police officer.

During the police investigation, more than 700 images of child pornography were recovered showing Daniel Hall assaulting his infant daughter. The jury convicted Alisha Hall for taking the pictures.

The Halls will be sentenced in Genesee County Circuit Court on November 28th.
