Man Charged in Double Homicide of Mother and Daughter

Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton has charged a Flint man with double homicide related to the weekend deaths of a mother and her 11-year-old daughter.

Michael Douglas Poole, 44, is charged with two counts of premeditated first degree murder for the killing of his ex-girlfriend Yolanda Renee Hill and her daughter, Cherish A. Hill. The victims were found the morning of July 20th at their apartment on Kleinpell Street near East Atherton Road on the city’s south side.

Poole was expected to be arraigned in 68th District Court on Wednesday and a preliminary examination date was to have been scheduled.
