Congressman Dan Kildee (MI-05) launched his new Instagram page last week, and along with it, a "Photos of the Fifth" competition, in which residents of the district are encouraged to submit original photos they think best represent mid-Michigan and the communities they live in. Selected photos will then appear on Kildee's social media accounts including Instagram and Facebook and one winner will have their work hung up in his office.

Kildee said he's "excited about the opportunity to highlight photos that showcase the beauty of the Fifth District. From the streets of downtown Flint, to Bay City's River walk, to the shores of Tawas, we have a diverse and beautiful district. I look forward to seeing constituents' photos throughout the district and sharing them through Instagram."

Photos can be submitted by tagging @RepDanKildee on Instagram. For those who do not have Instagram accounts, photos can be submitted via email at photosofthefifth@mail.house.gov with the subject line "Photos of the Fifth." Email submissions should include a persons first and last name and brief description of where the photo was taken.
