The first of two free training sessions from the Genesee County Literacy Coalition will be held this weekend where those interested will be taught how to help adults learn to read.

The first training session takes place tomorrow, Saturday, February 11 from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Trinity United Presbyterian Church on Lennon road in Flint. The second session will run from the same times on Saturday, February 18. Beverages are provided but attendees are asked to bring a brown bag lunch. A $15 deposit for the tutor book is also asked for, however, that will be reimbursed if training is finished and those in attendance go on to become a functioning tutor.
