I-75 was shut down late Wednesday night, after someone started throwing cement chunks from the Dodge Road overpass in Genesee County.

The first report of debris being thrown came in at about 9:30pm on Wednesday night after a car was hit. WNEM reported that at least one person was seriously injured as a cement chunk crashed through their windshield.

Police closed down the expressway, and conducted a massive search for the people responsible, including an MSP helicopter.

The expressway was opened to traffic early Thursday morning, but police are still looking for the people responsible. If you have any information, please contact your local police department.

Authorities have confirmed that a man was killed by the cement debris that was thrown from the overpass late Wednesday night. We'll update this story as new developments are known.
