According to WNEM, GM is recalling 49,000 trucks due to a fuel tank problem. The recall is for the Silverado and GMC Sierra 3500 trucks made between 2011 and 2015 with two fuel tanks. No injuries have been reported yet, but according to WNEM the low fuel sensor in these vehicles can stick in the front fuel tank, causing the rear tank to overfill and expand. When the fuel tank expands it can touch the drive shaft, which could cause a hole and a fuel leak.

Owners of the recalled vehicles will be notified beginning December 18th and dealerships will begin fixing the recalls in February.
