Flint Residents Who Missed Bagged Leaf Removal Still Have Chance

Flint's Fall Leaf Removal program has come to an end. If you are a resident that missed the November deadline for bagged leaf removal, don't worry, Environmental Wood Solution (EWS) will accept leaves from residents at a special reduced rate (must show proof of Flint residency). EWS reduced rates for Flint residents for bagged leaves are:

• Personal Auto (as many as will fit): $10
• Pickup Truck (as many as will fit) : $20
• Trailers 8' and under in size: $10
• Trailer 9'-16' in size: $20
• Trailer 16' and over in size: price to be determined by load size

Environmental Wood Solution is located at 1811 James P. Cole Blvd. (near Hamilton Ave). Hours for Leaf Drop-off Service are Mondays - Fridays from 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. through December 21, 2013.

The City of Flint also reminds residents to keep leaves from piling up in the street where they can cause blockage to the drainage system. They're also encourage to store bagged leaves in garages, sheds or other sheltered areas until Yard Waste Pickup resumes on April, 2014.
