A Flint man has been sentenced to 18 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to using "cloned" credit cards.

According to MLive, 54-year-old Brian Keith Herd used the cloned credit cards to purchase gift cards from a Meijer store in Ohio. He pleaded guilty to credit card fraud. He was also ordered to pay almost $1,200 in restitution and will also serve two years of supervised release.

The "cloned" credit cards were in Herd's name but featured the account numbers of other people. He was found to be in possession of 29 cloned credit cards when he was stopped  on US-23 by Grand Blanc Township Police.
