On Tuesday, workers at the Delphi Flint East plant were notified that operations will end there in November this year.

According to WNEM, there are almost 300 hourly employees working at the plant. Of those jobs, 50 are direct employees of General Motors and will be able to go to another GM facility when openings occur. The remainder will be out of a job.

This is the second plant closing in Genesee County to be announced in the past month. Two weeks ago GM announced it will close the Grand Blanc Weld Tool Center in July. Workers there will be offered employment at other plants in Michigan and Ohio.
