The NFL has been stained in recent days by Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Richie Incognito and his alleged bullying of rookie Jonathan Martin. If the allegations brought against Incognito are true, what should his punishment be?

Incognito is accused of using racial slurs against Martin and forcing him to pay for a $30,000 team dinner, among other acts. If these accusations are factual, Incognito should be reprimanded. But how?

Hitting Incognito in the wallet could dissuade him from performing these types of activities in the future. Money does make the world go 'round, after all. However, this may not be a steep enough punishment given his alleged behavior.

Also on the table is a suspension. Incognito is currently banned from the Dolphins indefinitely, until this matter is resolved. It wouldn't be a reach to say that he could be suspended by the NFL after this situation is resolved, whether he is a Dolphin or a member of any other team.

While far less likely, a ban from the NFL could send a clear message that behavior like Incognito's is inexcusable and will not be tolerated in the sports world.

What should Richie Incognito's punishment be if he bullied Jonathan Martin?
