The City of Flint announced today that water bills for 4,500 water service customers in the area south of I-69 are being mailed this Saturday, a week later than normal.

According to a news release from the city, those customers will have until February 26th to pay their bills without penalty. City officials have apologized for the delay and appreciate the customers who contacted the customer service department after not receiving their bills. Interim City Treasurer Al Mooney said they regret any inconvenience to customers and "steps to use a schedule that gets double checked to verify our vendor has received the file will avoid a recurrence of this problem."

In addition, the city says the mailing of the next billing cycle will be delayed until the week of March 9th.
