Vice President Joe Biden visited Flint on Wednesday. Biden spoke at the Flint Fire Department where he discussed how the president's proposed jobs bill would provide funds to help keep police and firefighters on the job. The White House said Flint has laid off more then 100 first responders in the last three years, and according to Fox News, Vice President Biden suggested that rapes and murders could rise in the city if Congress does not pass a new spending bill to help local governments keep police jobs. The administration's $447 billion American Jobs Act had stalled in the Senate on Tuesday night.
