The University of Michigan's mens basketball team stayed in the hunt for a share of the Big Ten championship with a 72-61 win over Illinois last night.

U of M got plenty of scoring from Tim Hardaway Jr., who lead the team with 25 points and went on a personal 11-0 run against the Illini during the game. Freshmen point guard Trey Burke helped his cause for Big Ten Freshmen of the Year with 21 points.

The Wolverines next take on Penn State  Sunday in the regular season finale.
