State Police Arrest Suspect on Multiple Charges after Shots Fired Report

Troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Flint Post have a suspect in custody after having investigated a 'shots fired' call at River Ridge Apartments.

On Friday at approximately 3 a.m., troopers were dispatched to River Ridge Apartments in Flint in response to a report that up to 30 rounds from a firearm had been discharged in the area. After receiving information from witnesses, including a female who alleged she had been shot at by a male suspect and informed troopers of where to find the weapon, troopers made contact with the suspect.

Further investigation resulted in the recovery of a semi-automatic SKS rifle, a BB gun and suspected cocaine and marijuana.

The suspect was lodged at the Flint City Jail for felonious assault, possession of a controlled substance, obstructing justice, felon in possession of a firearm, felony firearm and reckless use of a firearm.
