Popular Flint Facebook Food Page Changes Name

A super popular Facebook page that started in Flint, Michigan during the pandemic, has recently rebranded itself with a new name. 'Crap I Cooked In Quarantine' gained a huge following in 2020, and two years later, the page is now called 'Started Cooking In Quarantine Now We're Here...'

The new name could not be more accurate. I (like many of you) had no choice but to start cooking at home once the pandemic hit. I realized two things during that time - I spent a lot of money going out to eat and thanks to this awesome Facebook page I was a better cook than I thought.

The original page was started by Flushing residents Tom and Samantha Yaeger and the pair continue to run it under its new moniker. If you are not yet familiar, the goal of the group is as follows,

 A fun, positive group to share what you’re cooking, ordering, or just throwing together! This group started when Quarantine 2020 started and we all just couldn’t let it go. Please keep this group about the food and most importantly keep it positive.

The food lovers page has well over 237,000 members and continues to grow every day. I love the fact that regardless of your skills in the kitchen - you will find something to inspire you. Even if that means ordering take-out. Another very special thing about this group is the family recipes that have been shared and created by people from far beyond just Michigan.

If you are not yet following 'Started Cooking In Quarantine Now We're Here...' what are you waiting for? Believe me when I tell you - this group is awesome. From breakfast, lunch, and dinner ideas to kids' meals, desserts, and appetizers you will be full of ideas and most likely an extra 10 or so pounds.
