Police are investigating a Michigan gas station after a credit card skimmer was found at a station in Pinckney.

Scammers are always inventing new tactics to take your credit card information, and now police are urging Michiganders to be on the lookout for a new scam that gets your credit card information at the pump.

The scam occurred at the BP gas station on 850 E. Main Street in Pinckney after police reported a credit card their attempted to collect data off of the pump. Police say the scam was discovered on Thursday, July 13th. If you or someone you know has used the gas pumps at the BP in Pinckney you are being advised to contact your financial institution and order a new card.
