PETA Contributes $5,000 To City Of Saginaw To Switch To Silent Fireworks
Animal rights activists PETA is helping the city of Saginaw make the switch to silent fireworks by donating $5,000 for the animal-friendly fireworks show.
Fireworks in Saginaw may be a lot quieter this Summer as the Saginaw Area Fireworks committee is working towards making this years fireworks display silent.
The fireworks committee received a $5,000 donation from PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) and a letter offering to help the city's efforts to make this years fireworks celebration a less frightful experience for pets.
Animal shelters across the county report huge increases in the number of pets that go missing after fireworks displays.
