He is a rock star, business owner and now a has a degree from Wayne State

At one time Jack White thought he was gonna become a priest, instead he became a rock star with 12 Grammy's, a business owner and now he has gotten his  honorary doctorate degree from Wayne State University.

The graduation ceremony took place on Friday, May 3 and according to Mlive Jack was awarded  an honorary doctor of humane letters degree “for his dedication to Detroit and significant contributions to the arts as one of the most prolific and renowned artists of the past two decades.”

If you are wondering what reference "his dedication to Detroit " is, he is a business owner. Jack  founded 'Third Man Records'  back in 2001 and to this day is a popular place to shop (441 W. Canfield St. in Detroit).

Detroit is not the only city that loves Jack, Nashville mayor Karl Dean awarded White the title of "Nashville Music City Ambassador" in 2011. Here is a rock star that is leaving his mark all over the country!
