The Michigan State Police met with community leaders on Thursday to discuss recent events that have led to some concerns.

According to ABC, Concerned Pastors for Social Action want police to understand their congregation and concerns within the community after recent police chases left two women dead in less than a month.

Flint Mayor Dayne Walling had high hopes for the meeting saying "my hope is in this too that everyone who ends up interacting with our law enforcement community does so with respect and with cooperation and I'm hopeful that through our dialog and our work as leaders that we will be able to encourage that type of behavior."

The Michigan State Police are currently investigating the recent cases to help try and prevent future incidents.
